It was just another crappy day in February down by the lake. Blustery cold winds and an incoming barrage of freezing rain and snow, but after all it is Ontario and there was a job to do.
Our Party Leader, Mark Snow, had hit the road in the wee hours from his home in Eastern Ontario for the five-hour drive to Hamilton.
Accountability In Government. What the heck does that even mean?
Who ever goes to jail for spending improperly, trampling our rights. It is those questions you should be asking. God forbid you should not pay your taxes, or erect a building ... because for sure they will show up and hold YOU to account.
This problem all boils down to property rights, and authority. These 2 powers, in which you have very limited command over, are what allows the State to have authority over your body, your land, your work and YOUR children.

What power do you have if you are unhappy with your representative (MPP)? Your only option is to wait 4 yrs for another election!
We believe Recall Legislation needs to enacted to give the constituents the ability to hold a vote to replace your MPP at anytime. The Ontario Libertarian Party believes in local regional governance, with less centralized planning. Politicians that work for you.
You see, we believe your voice carries more weight at the local level, and will decentralize Queens Parks power in favour of local representation.
